Teaching and Workshops

Students that are involved with the costume department at Bucknell University have a wide variety of different interests, needs, and learning goals.

This year, I started offering monthly costuming workshops to students who learn and work in the costume shop.

These workshops aim to expand on prior knowledge and build skills that we don't get to teach during the regular workday. Topics are driven by student interest and learning goals

Past and current workshops from this school year include:

- Pattern Drafting Pants

- Fashion History and Costume Design: Intro to the 18th Century

- Upcycling and Altering: How we can create sustainable fashion
